Providence Computers is able to recover data from many different types of devices:

Internal Hard Drives:

Providence Computers can recover data from most IDE/ATA, SATA, SAS, or SCSI hard drives that A) Spin and B) are detected by storage controller BIOS.

Tier 1: Files have been accidentally delete a short time ago. In most cases we are successful in retrieving these files. The cost is generally $79 + the cost of replacement media. (CD, DVD, Flash Drive, Hard Drive)

Tier 2: Files have been deleted some time ago, or the file system on the hard drive is corrupt, or the partition structure is damaged or missing. The cost is generally $79 + the cost of replacement media. (CD, DVD, Flash Drive, Hard Drive)

Tier 3: The hard drive is failing (has bad sectors). The system may or may not boot, and may or may not have a valid partition table or file system. The cost can be anywhere from $79-$474, but is generally from $158-$237.

Tier 4: The drive is not detect by the storage controller BIOS, or the drive makes noises such as clicks, grinding, pings, etc. These type of devices generally must be sent to a clean room. The cost is generally $1,000 - $2,000.

RAID Arrays:

Providence Computers is able to recover data from many failures involving RAID arrays. Costs are estimated on a case by case basis, and can be from $79-$474

External Hard Drives:

In some cases, only the USB enclosure of an external hard drive will have failed. In these cases we can remove the hard drive from the case and install it in another USB enclosure. The cost for this is $79 labor + $34.95 for the enclosure. For other types of failures involving external hard drives, see the internal hard drive pricing.

Solid State Drives:

See internal hard drives

Memory Cards:

Accidental erasure or format: The cost is generally $79 + the cost of replacement media. (CD, DVD, Flash Drive, Hard Drive)

Flash Drives:

Accidental erasure or format: The cost is generally $79 + the cost of replacement media. (CD, DVD, Flash Drive, Hard Drive)

Broken USB connector: In many cases Providence Computers is able to re-solder the connector back to a broken flash drive. The cost is generally $79 + the cost of replacement media. (CD, DVD, Flash Drive, Hard Drive) We do not recommend continuing to use the flash drive after this repair has been performed.

In all cases a minimum cost of $79 is due regardless of the success or failure of the data recovery. This fee is generally payable in advance.
